Bliss 28 1/2 press repair on backshaft unit
On-site removal of the backshaft unit from the machine
The unit's damage was inspected and then the unit was completely disassembled for rebuilding
All parts are cleaned and then inspected Flywheel on the boring mill for machining Bliss "CAC" air clutch/brake unit was rebuilt
After installing new flywheel bearings, the rebuilt "CAC" bliss clutch/brake was installed onto the shaft along with new housing bearings
Each outboard housing was then installed along with the pinion gear
A new gib key for the pinion gear was then fitted by hand and then the unit was skidded for shipment back to the customer
Bliss 28 1/2 with rebuilt back-shaft unit installed on-site in the customers facility
